Parent / Teacher

We had p/t conferences tonight at South. Only 10 parents out of 68 showed up. Pat yourself on the back if you have a student that struggles (for whatever reason) and you show your support of them, and the school that is trying to help, by attending these conferences. To the rest... take a good look in the mirror because you are probably a big reason why your student is struggling.

Little Piece of Heaven

These are pictures from a 4 wheeler ride we took about a month ago. I can't remember what the trail was called but it was up Franklin Basin. You ride up through a forest of pine trees to a couple of lakes. There are cows, deer, frogs and teeny-tiny salamanders. It is so pretty and I look forward to our next ride

Trampoline Fun

We just put up a new trampoline thanks to Grandma Pauline! It took 2 nights and a little bit of frustration but the pay off already has been worth it. I was listening to Dax tell his dad that  this was one of the best times we have had in the dark as a family!

The Ranch

Justin's family own some property near Park Valley, Ut. It has an old house on it (where Justin's grandma grew up), a pond, a tree swing, a sandbox, a horse shoe pit and a whole lot of land my kids just love to explore. Justin has many, many fond memories of the ranch and time spent with his brothers, dad and grandpa and I know he wants his boys to have the same experiences he did as a kid and now does as a father.

While it is not my first choice of vacation, it is peaceful and nice just to get out of town and relax. Dax spends hours in the tree swing and Jace just loves to play with his dad's old dump truck in the sandbox. They shoot their guns, get very dirty and eat campfire hot dogs (the best) and dutch oven.

A year ago I went up just as the deer hunt was beginning and enjoyed

 a beautiful 4 wheeler ride up in the hills.

 I must admit I jumped out of the tree swing (much to my kids amazement) enough times to wear a hole in my jeans; and not just to impress my kids but because it was so fun!

Fall on the River 2012

Today is one of my favorite days of the year. It's the first day of Fall, my  favorite season, and every year I get to enjoy golfing in my favorite tournament with my favorite person.
